Diamond Beverly-Porter Participates in the Exhibit “Out of View”

DTC Professor Diamond Beverly-Porter recently participated in Out of View, a group exhibition at the FKM Gallery in Downtown Minneapolis, part of the gallery’s inaugural artist-curated series.

Featuring 36 artists, the exhibition explored themes of visibility, privacy, and the nature of artistic practice. It raised questions about the impact of revealing private works to the public—whether exposure diminishes their magic or deepens their resonance. Through sketchbooks, notebooks, and experimental pieces, the show invited viewers to engage with the transformative process of making the unseen visible, highlighting art as an ongoing inquiry, vulnerability, and human endeavor.

The exhibit ran from November 29, 2024, to January 25, 2025.
