Suzanne Anderson


Senior Instructor

Suzanne teaches DTC 335 and 338. Her specialities include 3D rhetorics, problem-solving through the construction of public service announcements, and the examination of how 3D visual technologies impact cognitive recognition and enhance the autobiographical experience.
Kristin Arola


Director of Graduate Studies and an Associate Professor of Rhetoric, Composition & Technology

Kristin teaches DTC 355 as well as undergraduate and graduate courses on multimedia authoring, rhetoric, composition, and technology and cultural studies. Her specialties include multi-modal composition, visual rhetoric, and web and video design. Learn more about Professor Arola at
Kristin Becker



Kristin teaches DTC 336 and 338. She is trained as a print maker and a photographer, and her artistic practice is inspired by the duality of the verbal and visual aspects of language. Kim Christen


Associate Professor and Director of Digital Technology and Culture

Bill Condon



Bill teaches DTC 375. His interest in technology and culture comes from long involvement in the field of Computers and Writing. He also teaches in WSU’s Rhetoric and Professional Writing major and conducts research in writing assessment, writing across the curriculum, and composition pedagogy.
Mike Edwards


Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Composition

Mike teaches DTC 356 and 375, and also teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the English Department on rhetoric, composition, and technology. He specializes in digital rhetorics, rhetorics and theories of technology, and the economics of composition. Rebecca Goodrich

Rebecca teaches DTC 354 and 355. She is fascinated by the challenge of interpreting both fiction and creative nonfiction in a multimedia environment in new and interesting ways. Leeann Hunter


Clinical Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies

Leeann teaches DTC 101, 355, and social media. Her special interests include social connectedness, embodied rhetorics, science fiction, design thinking, and creativity. She also teaches courses in nineteenth-century literature and culture, gender studies, and professional communication. Jeffrey Kuure


Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of AML

Jeff teaches DTC 201, 336, 477, and 478. Along with over 10 years of industry experience in both web development and graphic design, he holds an MFA in digital media and a BS in Technical Communication. He teaches undergraduate courses focusing on graphic design, web development, and user interface design.
Amy Petersilie


Amy teaches DTC 355. She has a deep appreciation for the way words, images, sounds, and space can be manipulated to create meaning. Her research interests include multimodal composition, literacies studies, visual rhetoric, embodiment, and alternative learning environments.
Anna Plemons


Clinical Assistant Professor of English and CAS Director of CLASP

Anna teaches DTC 475. Her scholarly interests include issues of equity and access in digital space, particularly the intersection of digital access and mass incarceration. As the College of Arts and Sciences Director of the Critical Literacies Achievement and Success Program, she also works with students and faculty on issues of retention and equity at WSU. David Squires


Visiting Assistant Professor in Digital Humanities

David is a visiting assistant professor. He teaches in the DTC 101, 356, and 475, and works at the Center for Digital Scholarship and Curation. His research focuses on nineteenth- and twentieth-century literature to interrogate the relationship between information management and state governance. He recently coedited Porn Archives (Duke University Press 2014) and has published on poetry, pulp fiction, library science, and racial violence. Roger Whitson


Assistant Professor

Roger teaches DTC 375. His research focuses on the intersections between literary studies (nineteenth-century British) and the digital humanities, particularly the way social media and distant reading complicate traditional understandings of literary study.
